Earpiece 1.11

Experience the convenience of listening to audio books and music through your phone's earpiece when you don't have earphones on hand. With Earpiece, a simple and lightweight audio-control app, you can enhance your audio on Android devices running versions 2.3 through 4.1 (not compatible with 4.2.1 or higher). Whether using the earpiece or the speaker, you can amplify the sound to your desired level.

Easily access Earpiece by holding down the SEARCH key to make it appear on top of other applications.

Furthermore, Earpiece offers some experimental features to enhance your audio experience. One such feature automatically switches the phone to speaker-phone mode when it is away from your face and back to speaker-phone mode when in close proximity. Please note that this feature is only available on devices equipped with a proximity sensor.

Another experimental feature allows you to significantly reduce the volume of camera sounds on select devices. Please ensure that local laws permit this functionality.

Earpiece is an open-source app and available to all users free of charge.

IMPORTANT: Use this app at your own risk. Continuous exposure to high audio volumes can damage speakers and/or hearing, especially for an extended period of time.

Please take note of the following:

1. There is no affiliation between the developer of Earpiece and the developer of Mortplayer, even though Mortplayer is shown in the background of the screenshots.
2. For the camera quieting feature, Earpiece requires permission to read log data. This allows Earpiece to monitor when the camera is about to take a picture and temporarily reduce audio for approximately two seconds. If you have concerns about privacy or are curious, you can examine the full source code of Earpiece on github.com/arpruss/earpiece and even build it yourself.
3. If you are using Earpiece, it is recommended to use its built-in audio boost option instead of my Speaker Boost app.
